The structure of our HSE MS is tailored to align with the requirements of OHSAS 18001, Health & Safety and Management System; ISO 14001, Environmental Management System Standard; and ISO 9001, the Quality Management System standard.

Employees Engagement and Leading

As an organization, which recognizes the importance of leadership in the drive towards establishing an interdependent safety culture in the fabric of its workforce, the attainment of zero incidents every day is a core expectation and not a vision or goal. We create an enabling environment for managers and supervisors to participate in all safety programs through tangible contributions and exemplary behavioral displays. Routine Management engagements with employees have been identified as the single most result-oriented measures to improve our HSE culture and performance. Therefore, managers are encouraged to embark on a one-on-one or in groups conversations with their teams to explore and address challenges and identify more improvement opportunities. Creating effective communication platforms for employees to voice out their concerns, reinforces their sense of ownership of the HSE process, making them more equipped and empowered to identify and proactively reduce HSE risks associated with their everyday work. Manifa HSE Leadership program is an ongoing process, and the goal is to groom HSE leaders in an organization that will support our drive towards establishing an interdependent safety culture in our company.

Incidents and Near Misses

At Manifa, employees and contractors are expected to report both incidents and near misses. Although near misses are events without immediate or tangible consequences, we recognize its hidden potential for resulting in an injury, property damage, or environmental impact. Our employees are also trained to intervene where possible, mainly when an unsafe activity or action, and unsafe conditions are observed. In a nutshell, if a potential hazard is identified, we believe reporting is not enough. We will implement appropriate corrective measures to address the root cause and reduce the risk of recurrence.

The commitment to safety and excellent service quality delivery is demonstrated at every level of our organization and would remain a fundamental component of our organizational culture.
